DataShift NG comes from Guardian GRC, a governance and compliance practice. We built it because the institutions we spoke to did not have a copying problem. They had a proving problem.
The CBN's circular requires payment transaction data generated in Nigeria to be stored and managed in Nigeria from 1 January 2027. Not a local copy — the primary processing environment, the databases, the backups and operational control.
Plenty of tools move files between clouds. Very few can tell you afterwards exactly what moved, from where to where, on whose authority, and which parts of your estate the exercise never touched. That gap is where an examination lands, and it is the part we set out to solve.
The migration matters. But it is a means to an evidenced position, not the destination.
If the platform has not checked something, it does not report it. We removed features that produced confident numbers from nothing, because a fabricated finding in a compliance tool is worse than a missing one — somebody relies on it.
Your statements are recorded as your statements, attributed and dated. What we verified is recorded separately. We publish no blended score, because averaging the two would manufacture a verdict out of self-assessment.
Credentials are destroyed once a transfer is confirmed. We are a pipe you plug in and unplug, not a service that keeps standing access to your storage.
What the platform cannot do is written on the services page, not buried in a contract. You should know the boundaries before you buy, not during an examination.
We work in governance, risk and compliance. DataShift NG is our answer to a specific obligation with a specific date, built because the institutions facing it needed something more defensible than a folder of screenshots.
